I also visited a local Connecticut USA historic home and found out that their curators had no knowledge about the tack and equestrian equipment on the premises. They knew all about the period appliances and the garments but little or nothing about what was in "the garage" (old stable.) The Kentucky Horse Park International Museum of the Horse is now building a wing dedicated to the Arabian Horse, too.
